Feature Sessions: Brownie

Wednesday, November 23, 2016
Hi everyone,  Hope you've been having a great week so far?
Mine has been great, but I'm glad I finally got around to putting this post together, been in the works for quite sometime.
It was one of the last shoots i did in abuja, yeah i am currently in Lagos :(.

We have another edition of Feature Sessions and in this edition
we have someone who I personally have longed to work with;

Introduce yourself?

Hi my name is Bella, I’m 23 year old student studying politics and international relations.
I bake, I blog, and i'm a very simple open book.

Are you into fashion?

I am into fashion but nowadays I realizing I’m more into lifestyle than fashion,
I’ve started gravitating towards things that have to do with overall wellness, skincare and the likes.
I would say I’m a life + style blogger *winks*

How did you get into blogging and what has it led to?

I just never really had anything I was really good at to be honest. I never had like a thing but I did like to express myself and then when I figured out I could express it on a platform, it was really nice. It has led to very interesting opportunities, I’ve worked with jumia , I’m gearing up to work with Cosmo Nigeria. I think blogging also led me into baking I think being in the blogosphere exposes you to the internet and the possibilities and that’s how I started baking and now I have my baking business,  YouTube I can actually carve out a market for myself by selling confidence. I found out I tend to appeal to younger girls like from age 15.
I appeal to the younger generation, apparently I have this big sister vibe.

How would you describe your style?

I think my style is afro-hemian. I like to make sure I have a bit of an African vibe in whatever I’m wearing. Also bohemian, in the sense that I’m not really one for the whole extra tight extra fitted clothing. Don’t really like to have a restricted structure to my style.

What are your favorite pairs of shoes?

I like these ones. Makes me looks like a badass.
I also like these weird Dr. Martens. They look kinda like rain boots.

What are the biggest challenges you face?

I think me wanting to be unique is the biggest challenge I have had. I realized that a lot of people like the same thing and a lot of times when you are unique you don’t get the same attention that people get because they are doing what other people expect them to do.
Another thing is comparison, you tend to be moody because chances are that majority of the people around you are not bloggers so they don’t know what it is you're doing initially so people’s don’t see the benefits  and that could be  frustrating.

Plans for the future?

I would really like to make a business of selling confidence I would like a situation where I could teach people how to love themselves, not necessary a lifer coach but living my life and living it shamelessly. My bakery is very important to me and I definitely want to work for a strings of N.G.O's.

I hope you enjoyed this edition of Feature Session, well love to know what you think and who else you'll like to see on an all new edition. So feel free and comment.

  1. Absolutely lovely!
I've been following Bella for a while now and I love her so much. She inspires me in so many ways and I'm grateful that she is who she is. Unashamed, confident and God loving.
